Clean Ingredient Pesto Sauce
Equipment
Ingredients
- 2 cups basil fresh and packed in there
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 lemon juice
- ½ cup olive oil
- ½ cup pinenuts (or cashews but recommend soaking in HOT water for at least 30 min)
- ¼ cup pepita seeds
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Directions:
- Load the leaves first into a tall mason jar or small food processor. Top remaining ingredients and blend all ingredients on high. I prefer a handheld immersion blender because I can better control making sure everything gets blended well for the creamiest texture – and it’s much easier to clean! Store in the fridge in an airtight glass container for up to 5 days, or freeze. Shake well before using.
Notes
Nutrition
This pesto sauce has minimal raw ingredients and will beat ANY store-bought sauce out there. The flavor, texture and ingredients are a perfect combo that will never make you want to buy store-bought sauce again
